BeaP sold her first sketch of a horse as a 10 year old for 20c, unknowingly her first commissions were in her teens, often sketching portraits of her lecturers and peers for pocket money, being introduced to oils at 18 and took to art as her main hobby. 20 years later she studied Teaching at the University of South Africa majoring in Art, Maths, and English, teaching briefly at schools, then Bev tutored privately and painted, and turned full time Artist in 2013.

And then in 2016 she met and married James Preston and her art career took wings. While they were sitting in a branding agent's office, Jim pointed out that her initials spelled BeaP and at that very moment a passing Beetle car beeped twice like a sign, and instantly Bev Art became BeaP.

So for the first time as BeaP, in 2017, they travelled South Africa with her growing exhibition beginning with the world-renowned Rand Show, travelling through this vast country to the many Local and National Art festivals - Innibos, Aardklop, Cherry festival, Bloem Show, Parys and more, selling Art by BeaP to customers all over the world, catapulting BeaP paintings onto every continent.

Born and raised at the foot of Africa, but of British descent, the loving couple decided to move to the UK in 2022, where BeaP began studying the Mastery Programme with the Milan Art Institute, breaking new grounds in her skills, and feeling catapulted her art into new dimensions, Beverley-anne Esther (Adam) Preston is a full-time professional artist selling across the globe, and the world is her lobster.
